  • How do I buy a Funtopia Gift Card?

    Funtopia eGift cards can be purchased online and sent direct to the lucky recipient or to your inbox for printing at home.

    Standard gift cards can be purchased in store from the front reception desk.

    Do Funtopia Gift Cards have an expiry date?

    Funtopia Gift Cards are valid for 3 years from date of purchase and can be redeemed online and in store.

    Do I have to use the full amount of my Funtopia Gift Card in one visit?

    No, you are not required to use the full amount of your Funtopia Gift Card in one visit. Any remaining balance will be returned to your card after each transaction.

    Can I use Funtopia Gift Card at all Funtopia locations?

    No, Funtopia Gift Cards are only valid for the store they were purchased from and cannot be used in other Funtopia locations.

    Is there free parking available?

    Yes, we have plenty of free, off-street parking spaces available.

    Is there free Wifi?

    Yes, free, high-speed Wifi is available for all Funtopia customers. Please ask our front desk staff for more details.

    Do you have baby change facilities and high chairs?

    Yes, we have a baby change room, high chairs and a toddler arena to keep your little ones safe and entertained.

    Is the centre air conditioned?

    Yes, our centre is fully air conditioned.

  • Is there an age restriction for climbing?

    Climbers must be 4 years and over to participate in our standard Climbing World sessions.

    Is there a weight restriction for climbing?

    For safety reasons, all climbers must be under 120kg.

    What time do climbing sessions start and what’s included?

    Sessions start on the hour with a 15 minute safety briefing. You will then be given a full hour in our climbing arena.

    Example timeline based on booking a 10am session:

    9:55am        Head to briefing area
    10:00am      Safety briefing and harnessing
    10:15am      Enter climbing arena and spend 1 hour climbing
    11:15am       Exit climbing arena

    Is climbing safe?

    Yes! Funtopia Prospect has one of the world’s most innovative, advanced and safest climbing arenas. Check out our safety features here.

    What should I wear?

    We recommend wearing pants or shorts. Closed-toe shoes are a must for Climbing World. Socks or Funtopia grip socks are required for Playground World.

    Can adults climb too?

    Yes, climbing isn’t just for kids! We love seeing adults joining in the fun and have a range of walls to suit all levels.

    Do I have to pay if I’m not climbing?

    Yes, all spectators are required to purchase a Buddy Pass upon arrival at Funtopia.

  • What ages are allowed in the playground?

    Playground World is designed for children aged 2 years and over

    Toddler World is restricted to children aged 2 years & under

    How long can we play? Is the session timed or unlimited?

    Your pass provides unlimited, all-day access to our playground. Stay for an hour or stay for the day – the choice is yours!

    Please note, extra charges apply for Climbing World and our electric car track.

    Are socks required to play?

    Yes, socks are required for both adults and children entering our playground areas. If you forget your socks, they can be purchased from the front desk.

    Are parents and carers free?

    Yes, parents and carers receive free entry to our playground areas.

  • What’s the minimum number of people for a party?

    We require a minimum 8 guests for all birthday parties at Funtopia.

    Do I need to pay a deposit?

    A deposit of $100 is required to secure your party date and time.

    How do I book a party?

    If you have 18 people or less, the quickest way to book is through our online booking system. Choose the type of party and the date and time. Once you’ve completed the transaction, your party is booked. We’ll follow up with you before your party to confirm final numbers, food and drinks.

    If you need a custom party or have more than 18 people, please contact us on (08) 8164 5118 or email prospect@funtopiaworld.com.au and we will help you build your party.

    How long does my party go for?

    Due to multiple parties being scheduled on one day, use of your private party room is strictly limited to 1 hr 30 minutes for Playground World and 1 hour 45 minutes for Climbing World.

    What’s included in my party package? Are there any add-ons available to enhance my party?

    Guests can book either a Climbing World Party or a Playground World Party. To view inclusions for each package plus add-ons available, please visit our Birthday parties page

    What should we wear?

    All climbers are required to wear sneakers or closed-toe-shoes. We also recommend participants wear shorts or pants as they will be harnessed.

    If you upgrade your party to include playground access, please remember that all adults and children are required to wear socks.

    How long before the party starts should we arrive?

    We kindly ask you to arrive no more than 10 minutes prior to your party to set up. This is to make sure we have enough time between parties for guests to leave and for our staff to clean the space.

    How old do you have to be to have a party at Funtopia?

    Climbing parties are for children aged 4 years and over.

    Playground parties are for children 1 year and over.

    Can we bring in our own decorations?

    Yes, you are welcome to decorate the party room but we do request that only Blu Tac is used and that no glitter, sparkles, confetti or silly string be used.

    Do you supply lolly bags?

    Lolly bags are available to purchase for $3.50 each.

    Do you supply a birthday cake and candles?

    Birthday cakes are not included in our standard packages. You’re more than welcome to bring your own birthday cake from home or you can purchase an ice-cream cake from us for $25 (serves 12 guests).

    We supply candles free of charge or you can bring your own if you prefer. Please note that sparklers are not permitted due to fire danger.

    Can we purchase additional food for the adults?

    Yes. We recommend adding some food for your adult guests and have a great range of savoury and sweet platters available for purchase. Click here to view options and pricing.

    Do you cater for guests with dietary requirements?

    Yes, we run a commercial kitchen so can tailor platters to suit any dietary requirements provided we’re given enough notice.

    Can we bring our own food and drinks?

    We do not allow any outside food or drinks, with the exception of baby food, children’s drink bottles and your birthday cake.

    Can we organise a drinks tab?

    Yes, the majority of clients choose to add a drinks tab to their party package. We allow you to choose what drinks you want to include (e.g. coffee and tea only) and whether you want the tab to be unlimited or capped at a certain dollar amount. Alternatively, you can ask your guests to purchase their own drinks. It’s totally up to you – just let us know when we call to confirm your final guest numbers.

    Do you supply invitations?

    We sure do! You can pick up a hard copy version from the front desk of Funtopia or download your invitations from the booking confirmation email you will receive.

  • Can I book Funtopia for a work party, fundraiser or celebration? How much does it cost?

    Yes, Funtopia can be hired by individuals, organisations and community groups. You can hire a section of Funtopia or book the whole venue for your event. The cost varies depending on the day and time of your event. Please email prospect@funtopiaworld.com.au for a quote.

    How long will my event run for?

    Private function bookings give you exclusive access to our facility for 3 hours. We’re also happy to accommodate longer events.

    Will cleaning be taken care of by your team during and after the party?

    Of course! Our team takes care of all of the party organising and cleaning so that you can sit back, have fun and enjoy your party with your guests.

    How can I book a private function?

    Do I have to pay a deposit?

    Yes, in order to secure your preferred date and time we require a deposit of 10% of your minimum spend.

    Do you serve alcohol?

    Yes, we are a fully licensed venue.

    What if I need to cancel my private event or function?

    If you cancel your party more than 2 weeks before the event, you will have the choice to re-book another date (within 6 months) or use the amount of your deposit in store credit with us.

    If you cancel within 2 weeks of your party, your deposit will not be refunded.

    When is final payment for my private function due?

    We ask that you settle your account upon arrival at Funtopia for your party.

    Does Funtopia Prospect provide free invitations?

    We sure do! You can pick up a hard copy version from the front desk of Funtopia or download your invitations from the booking confirmation email you will receive.

    Are we allowed to bring outside food and drinks into Funtopia?

    No, we do not allow external food to be brought onto the premises.
